There are some people out there who bleed passion. The kind of people who fucking die for their craft. That’s exactly who we’re talking to in this episode of Small Streams Big Dreams, with iR528, A.K.A Ivan. This is a man with a nose for the wrestling world and dreams bigger than a world championship. A champion of the fans of the squared circle, Ivan is a guy you’d love to grab a beer with. And maybe a chair for busting skulls too. It’s time to talk to the man behind the madness, in this installment of…
Small Streams Big Dreams: iR528 (You can call him Ivan)
How long have you been streaming, and what got you into it?
I found Twitch at the end of High School. It started from watching MrBlack0us81’s DayZ Dairies and wanting to get the game but I had no PC. I was on my Xbox one and saw Twitch and watch some DayZ streams. Then I eventually found other streamers playing games like Outlast. Watching them and how fun it was being in chat made me want to do it as well, but it wasn’t until November 10, 2014, I did a Yugioh stream on my potato computer and it went really really well from being around streams and being a mod for almost a year people came to my horrible first stream and from there I knew I was gonna give twitch everything I got.
What’s your style like as a streamer?
My style? Honestly, its variety but I know that term on Twitch now is dying out and people want to focus on one thing. But I don’t. My style is variety I’ll do it all as long as I am having fun with the games or with my friends. My style is just doing me. I never wanna lose focus on being me and doing what I wanna do on twitch so it’s just that real me dialed up to 11. As long as I can bring people to enjoy the gameplay cause I pride myself on being very good at every game I play and laugh cause I also have ALWAYS wanted to be some form of entertainer and Twitch my style is always to play good and bring the comedy even if it’s raging at games. I know that answer is all over the place sorry
What would you classify as “your thing?”
My “thing”? if we are talking about games my thing would be shooting games cause I yell BINK when I’m sniping and I’ve done it even before I even knew about Twitch. This is where I step in for our friend iR528. What he hasn’t told you about yet, is perhaps the most glorious digital wrestling federation of all time: World Championship Alliance.
WCA: iR528’s Brainchild
Let’s get this straight: I LOVE wrestling. When John Cena would come out and tell his opponents about their “fine speech” I’d be like “OOHHHHHHHHH!”. When Kane would be out to chokeslam someone to hell, I’d bring the noise. And when Randy Orton was out to be a slithery snake, I’d pop for an RKO OUTTA NOWHERE! And let me tell you this: I get the same kind of hype when I tune in to watch the mayhem that is WCA. Featuring fully customized (usually) characters, iR528’s dirty little secret walks the walk on screen. All the characters have distinct looks, personalities, and the storylines are actually interesting. (More than what can be said right now in the WWE.) If my salivating doesn’t make enough sense to you, here’s the down low on the official website:
World Championship Alliance (WCA) is a custom show that has original custom made characters. Some characters are people on Twitch or chat to give people with no knowledge of Pro Wrestling characters someone to root for. The people with characters are also given the opportunity to voice their own characters and cut promos that are edited and added to the show. The WCA Universe aren’t just A.I. The WCA Universe is YOU. You are the WCA Universe you not only watch but you have a voice with in chat commands to activate crowd Cheers and Boos. Every match is also set with a betting question which you can answer who will win the match and win in chat currency to do more.
Here’s the intro for the WCA show that starts off every show:
Describe a typical stream for you?
A typical stream for me would be turning on the stream and whether I’m with people or not its always in the moment of wanted to get on and play and entertain and be goofy or rage hoping someone finds it funny. I’m very passionate about gaming, so no matter what I play I’m always very vocal. No matter who is there or not, so that’s pretty much every stream I always want my gameplay to show so I have THAT moment and hope someone would see it. And even if not live then a highlight or clip or in a video I edit. So I’m always focused on the game I play when I stream having a good time and trying hard. So I guess ima try hard when I stream but it comes from loving games and wanting to be good and show that. You know?
What are the goals you have?
My goals. Honestly, I guess one major important goal I have on twitch is to bring people more awareness about Pro Wrestling. It might sound weird but of all the things I have seen or done on Twitch making my Pro Wrestling show, I took a big risk because pro wrestling was DEAD on twitch. Yea there were people playing the game and had their thing but it’s still not there. Now you got wrestling personalities on Twitch or gaming so they brought people from wrestling here yea but I want to bring people interest in Pro Wrestling. There has always been something similar to Wrestling and gaming.
The outsiders the nerds, when you told people you were into gaming or wrestling you would get looked at differently. I want to make wrestling fun on Twitch because it’s not fun with WWE anymore and even the fans of that know it. I’m proud to say I got women, old fans and new fans on board with my wrestling show HELL even content creators to lead me their voices and looks to the show by having THEM as the stars and have them voice act themselves and its been so fun and the support of people hearing and joining have been so amazing i really view that as the only goal I’m focused on right now.
Its something I’m doing and still working on and it’s going so great and it’s not that popular…YET. But the interest is there and I’m trying HARD to improve every single day and draw more people to it for the sake of entertainment.
