Today’s interview is hosted by Louie Grand, with artist Sean Miller. They talk about

Louie Grand Interviews Sean Miller

Louie Grand: How did you get your start in music?

Sean Miller: I always loved writing lyrics when I was bored and freestyling with friends, but last summer I started learning how to produce and taking my lyrics to the next level.

Have you ever had a track you weren’t confident in that actually did really great?

Yes actually my song “Vibzzzz” was completely different than the style I normally do and it now has like the fourth most plays of any song that I thought was really good.

Vice versa, have you ever been confident in a record, and it flops, horribly?

“4:07am” I put a lot of heart into and it sounded really crisp and perfect but it only has 18 likes where as some others have around 70 that were just bangers.

Perfect segway not to take up, I was actually going to ask about that specific song. Break down your “4:07am” record, sounds like you’re really talking to your fans with that joint. I had no idea it was one of the less viewed one I personally really enjoyed the writing in that very much.

A lot of rappers talk about people who hate on the music motivates them to do better but that type of thing doesn’t work for me and a lot of people seem to support you until they see you’re actually doing it but I know that once I actually do it they all want to support me again and I’m not for that. Basically it’s talking about the struggle to keep making music and do what I like and create visions even though I’m getting so much negative feedback and feel like my songs aren’t getting enough credit for what they deserved but if it’s something you like doing then you just have to follow it and see where it leads you it might just be a hobby and it might never get you anywhere but then again it might do you want to stage in front of 50,000 people will never know unless you follow it.

Well, what do you feel like you could do to help bring more attention to your music?

I have a bunch of shows during the summer that I hope will build my fan base

Any new projects we should be expecting you want to talk about?

Sean Miller interviewI have a new song coming out before June 24th, it’s pretty much a banger to do at shows since I’ll be doing a lot of life performances this summer.

Oh awesome I’m sure that’ll be dope. I noticed your clothing, is that still up and running?

It’s still up and running but it’s not popping. And I’m in a group now called S.L.V. so a couple shirts will come out for that which should be cool.

We’ll be sure to be on the lookout for those. And final question if there’s one thing that you could tell other artists to stay away from doing, what would it be?

Stay away from the negative energy of people or at least try. Also do not make you music based on what other people tell you will sound good. Make your music for you!

Well thank you so much for being a part of this. Thanks Slickster Magazine for letting us bring this to you. Any closing words? Shout outs?

Shout out to DJ Genuine. And my closing words are: “We are all connected. At the base of all atoms is energy. If all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. Then we are all one conciseness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as life or death… ‘Life’ is simply sort of like a dream of self-awareness, and the universe is the imagination, created us on a speck of dust out in the vastness of infinitely expanding time and space!”

You make that up, just out of curiosity?

Yeah, dude, I love that type of stuff. That’s reality.

Good luck on the music and thanks again. I’m sure we’ll be talking more soon.
