Tickets for BELLATOR MMA 274: Gracie vs. Storley will go on sale Friday, Jan. 7 at both Ticketmaster.com and Bellator.com, with a special presale taking place Thursday, Jan. 6.

Five preliminary contests are also official for BELLATOR MMA 274, three lightweight bouts, the first pitting 44-fight veteran Georgi Karakhanyan (31-12-1) against Northern California’s Adam Piccolotti (12-4), a battle between two of the best nicknames in MMA, Mandel “Rat Garbage” Nallo (8-1, 1 NC) and Nick “Nyquil” Browne (12-1), as well as Corey Samuels (3-2), who won in ten seconds in his BELLATOR debut, returning to face undefeated Justin Montalvo (4-0).

The final two preliminary contests will see Isaiah Hokit (0-1) will move down to featherweight in his second BELLATOR outing, when he takes on Albert Birckhead (0-1) in his promotional debut. Lastly, top-flight bantamweight prospect Jaylon Bates (4-0) welcomes Chris Disonell (6-4) back to BELLATOR for the first time since 2019.

Originating from the exalted Brazilian jiu-jitsu family, Gracie scored his first professional TKO when he backed his opponent against the fence and unleashed a barrage of unanswered punches to Lemminger’s head, forcing referee Jason Herzog to stop the contest at 1:27 of the opening round on Sept. 18, 2021, in San Jose, Calif.

The great grandson of Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu founder Carlos Gracie, nephew of MMA icon Royce Gracie, and cousin to Renzo Gracie, Neiman Gracie opened his outstanding MMA career by recording nine consecutive wins of then-undefeated opponents, including eight by submission.

A native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the 33-year-old BELLATOR veteran currently holds a 9-2 promotional record. While others his age were learning to speak their native language, Gracie began jiu-jitsu training at age four. Fast forward to 18 years later when the multi-faceted fighter earned the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu black belt at 22. Additionally, the Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and Kings MMA fighter captured the 2011 U.S National Jiu-Jitsu title, 2008 Pan-American Jiu-Jitsu crown, and 2007 American National Jiu-Jitsu championship during an illustrious amateur career.

Hailing from Webster, S.D., the hard-hitting Storley commenced his pro vocation with six consecutive knockouts, including five in the initial stanza, en route to 11 straight triumphs overall. Furthermore, “The Storm” will make his ninth consecutive BELLATOR appearance where he currently holds a magnificent 7-1 record.

Like his counterpart on Feb. 19, Storley began wresting at a young age, albeit one year later at age five. Additionally, the Sanford MMA product and former folkstyle wrestler completed a fabled amateur career as a four-time NCAA Division-I champion at the University of Minnesota, as well as a six-time South Dakota High School Activities Association titlist.

The 29-year-old Storley, who holds academic degrees in both business and marketing, thrilled his hometown crowd in his last turn by earning a split-decision victory over Dante Schiro in the co-featured bout of BELLATOR MMA 265 in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Welcome to the New Year!  It is a fantastic time when we celebrate with our families, eat too much and make promises to get in shape.  Of course, most New Years Resolutions get utterly defeated within the first two weeks.  If you need some guidance on how to behave yourself when reentering a gym, check out our article on gym etiquette.

The first Slickster Girl of the Week for 2022, is none other than the super sexy Latina girl next door, Aura Vargas.  Carmel hued skin, long dark hair and a seductive personality are all exemplified by Vargas.  She enjoys spending a lot of her days at the beach, on boats, and lounging by the pool.  The smaller the bikini, the better.  She doesn’t like tan lines, and if that means she gets a little more attention while sunbathing, so be it.

New album release date announced by Ghost In The Machine

0

The new album from US rocktronica project Ghost In The Machine is called Journey to the Otherwise.

The original music project is familiar yet different, subtle yet strong and mysterious yet exoteric. It is an intense musical experience, defying categorization but captivating lyrically in a time where the world has seemingly flipped upside down with a pandemic and social and political insanity.

Ghost In The Machine promo still

Featured songs eerily focus in on the emotional toll.

Virus, an industrial metal onslaught not for the faint of heart, touches a nerve with anthropomorphic lyrics that give the Coronavirus a persona. Cuts like a Knife (dark and moody alternative, lyrically about depression, withdrawal and selfmutilation) leaves the listener feeling the weight of the pandemic. Not all is gloom nor doom however. Unstoppable (upbeat anthemic electronic rock) is lyrically about winning and coming back from loss. Supernatural (warm and tense yet smooth and seductive) is lifted with an RnB vibe by the guest vocals of Caela and is a bewitching tale of passion and love ending in a proposal.

Ghost In The Machine creates, what they like to call, “rocktronica”.

It is their high-energy expression of blending various genres with a pop sensibility. Alternative in nature, one can hear influences from industrial, rock, electronica, urban and more. Known for weaving polished crafted songs with thundering grooves, heavy guitars and lush electronics; they delve deeply into lyrical concepts reaching the boundaries of love and hate, oppression and enlightenment and the social experience. A typical reaction to hearing GITM music – it sounds like it’s from a movie!

SEVERAL OUTSTANDING MATCHUPS ADDED TO BELLATOR MMA 273: BADER VS. MOLDAVSKY SATURDAY, JAN. 29

LOS ANGELES – BELLATOR MMA 273: Bader vs. Moldavsky has announced several new mouth-watering matchups to the event on Saturday, Jan. 29, which emanates from the Footprint Center in Phoenix, AZ and is headlined by the Heavyweight World Title fight between current 265-pound champion Ryan Bader (28-7, 1 NC) and interim heavyweight titleholder Valentin Moldavsky (11-1).

The card’s co-main event will feature a showdown of top-10 lightweight contenders as Phoenix, Ariz., resident and No. 6-ranked Benson Henderson (28-11) hopes to thrill the hometown fans against No.7-ranked Islam Mamedov (20-1-1).

In addition, the main card will see a featherweight fight featuring Fight Ready MMA gym’s Henry “OK” Corrales (19-6), who will fight in front of his adopted town against Birmingham, England’s own Aiden Lee (10-5) and hard-hitting American Top Team welterweight Sabah Homasi (15-10), who returns to action against tenacious Tennessean Jaleel Willis (15-3) in a battle of Southeastern talents.

Several newly announced preliminary fights have been added to the packed event including a battle of unbeaten middleweights with identical records as No. 9-ranked Romero Cotton (5-0) of Hutchinson, Kansas, faces knockout artist Dalton Rosta (5-0).

Additionally, two of the hardest-hitting 205 pounders in the BELLATOR stable will square off when former Arizona State wrestling standout Sullivan Cauley (2-0) takes on viral fan-favorite Ben “Big Tuna” Parrish (5-1).

Lastly, BELLATOR veteran Saad Awad (24-13, 1 NC) of San Bernardino, Calif., strives to build off a highlight reel first-round TKO in his last outing when he makes his 23rd consecutive promotional appearance by confronting Sacramento scrapper Chris Gonzalez (6-1) in a 155-pound Golden State skirmish.

SHOWTIME will televise the highly anticipated main card live at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. Additionally, the must-watch preliminary fights will stream live three hours earlier at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on the BELLATOR and SHOWTIME Sports YouTube channels, as well as Pluto TV.

Tickets for BELLATOR MMA 273: Bader vs. Moldavsky are on sale now and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com and Bellator.com.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Benson Henderson has held world championships for both UFC and WEC during a standout 15-plus-year MMA career and is fueled by a quest for BELLATOR gold. Standing in the way of that monumental achievement is Dagestan, Russia-bred Islam Mamedov who is currently riding a 20-bout unbeaten streak (19 victories, one draw) dating back to 2010.

Returning to the 145-pound division in his last fight, Henry “OK” Corrales pressured Vladyslav Parubchenko for three straight rounds en route to a unanimous decision triumph at BELLATOR 268. Possessing 19 professional victories, including seven by knockout and six by submission, the 35-year-old Californian will fight for the second straight time at Footprint Center. On the other side of the cage, 26-year-old United Kingdom native Aiden Lee sports submission wins in eight of his 10 professional victories and will fight in the United States for only the second time in 16 pro-outings.

Armed with six opening-round stoppages among 10 career knockouts, “The Sleek Sheik” Sabah Homasi wastes no time when he steps into the cage. On the other side, Jaleel “The Realest” Willis maintains a pace that opponents find difficult to match as he has defeated six of his last seven opponents.

After calling out his name for years, Dalton Rosta will finally get his wish when he collides with fellow undefeated middleweight Romero Cotton. Following his 2019 BELLATOR debut, Rosta, a former Seton Hall University wrestler, has taken the promotion by storm as “Hercules” has stopped 60 percent of his opponents within two rounds. Cotton, a decorated college wrestler in his own right from the University of Nebraska at Kearny, made his BELLATOR debut in 2017 and has finished four of his five opponents in the first two stanzas.

Fighting in his home state of Arizona for the second time in three appearances, Sullivan Cauley has yet to go more than one round in his young MMA career. In his pro debut at BELLATOR MMA 253 in November 2020, “Sully” made quick work of Jason Markland by dispatching of his opponent in 28 seconds. Less than a year later, Cauley continued his winning ways by stopping Deon Clash with one second remaining in the opening frame at BELLATOR MMA 268. Nicknamed “Big Tuna,” Ben Parrish is currently riding the momentum of a 38-second, knockout-of-the-year candidate over rising star Christian Edwards at BELLATOR MMA 266 and has defeated 80 percent of his adversaries by submission.

Coming off a first-round knockout over Nate Andrews in May 2021, promotional mainstay Saad Awad will take sole possession of second-most BELLATOR fights of all time when he steps into the cage for the 24th time to take on Team Alpha Male-product Chris Gonzalez. Carrying his collegiate All-American wrestling skills into the cage, Gonzalez has been dominant since his promotional debut in 2019, tallying five victories in six contests.

Austin Vanderford with spouse, Paige Vanzant.

The co-main event sees Irish star and #5-ranked lightweight Peter Queally (14-5) return to action against Manchester, England’s Kane Mousah (13-4), as he looks to rebound from his recent title challenge at BELLATOR 270 last November.

In addition, a pair of lightweight contests are confirmed for the event, when Charlie Leary (17-11-1) takes on Davy Gallon (19-7-2) and Junior Morgan (3-0) faces Darragh Kelly, who’s 9-0 as an amateur and will be making his professional debut on Feb. 25. Fellow home favorite Brian “The Pikeman” Moore (14-8) is also set to compete on the card with his opponent yet to be confirmed.

Broadcast details and additional fights, including a host of Irish talent, are set to be announced in the coming weeks.

A two-time BELLATOR MMA Middleweight World Champion, Mousasi enjoyed his first reign in 2018, winning the title against Rafael Carvalho and defending it against Rory MacDonald, before losing a thrilling match-up to Rafael Lovato Jr. The Dutchman reclaimed his title in a huge clash with former welterweight champion Douglas Lima in October 2020 before another successful defense against John Salter in August 2021. Currently ranked fourth in the BELLATOR pound-for-pound rankings, Mousasi will be looking to produce fireworks in front of a packed 3Arena crowd.

Austin Vanderford has quickly established himself as one of the best middleweights on the planet, boasting an 11-0 career professional record. Since signing for BELLATOR in 2019, he is undefeated in five bouts, including a thrilling unanimous decision win over Fabian Edwards earlier this year at BELLATOR 259. The #1 ranked American Top Team product will look to emulate his training partner and reigning welterweight champion Yaroslav Amosov by becoming a BELLATOR world champion in his first attempt.

Queally meanwhile, who is currently ranked #5 in the lightweight division, will look to use the might of the home crowd to help him secure a decisive win over Mousah. Queally will be looking to bounce back from a heartbreaking title fight defeat to Patricky “Pitbull” Freire in front of the same Dublin crowd at BELLATOR 270 in November. The SBG standout is known for his exciting style and electrifying walkouts and will be looking to climb the lightweight rankings again and put his name back into title contention with a dominant victory.

After more than 18 months away from the 3Arena, BELLATOR’S return to the iconic Dublin venue twice in the space of four months is sure to be met with delight from the loyal Irish MMA fans. With another title on the line and one of the most iconic names on the BELLATOR roster in Gegard Mousasi competing at the top of the card against the #1 ranked competitor in Austin Vanderford, it promises to be a night to remember in the Irish capital. If Queally secures his comeback win in the co-main, it will become one of the great nights in Irish MMA history.

The Fred Wickham Caravan Brings Soulful Americana from the Heartland

0

Fred Wickham built his caravan of musicians in 2017. Back then, he hand-selected some of the best roots musicians that Kansas City had to offer. They supported him on his debut solo record Mariosa Delta. Now, Wickham and the boys are back with a collaborative album. Town Without Soul hit shelves and streaming on October 29th and has been turning heads in Midwestern folk and Americana circles.

Now, it took a while for this album to make it all the way to my speakers here in Eastern Tennessee. So, I’m a little late to the Fred Wickham party. But, I’m finally here for their expert blend of folk, rock, country, and soul. Their sound perfectly reflects the melting pot that is Americana: they take a little bit of everything, mix it together, and create something that is uniquely their own. However, the overall sound is one that fans of other folk and Americana acts will be familiar with. Listening to Town Without Soul for the first time is like meeting someone who you instantly feel like you’ve known your whole life. It’s warm, inviting, and most importantly interesting.

My Favorite Tracks from Fred Wickham Caravan’s Town Without Soul

Fred Wickham and his band packed Town Without Soul with ten solid Americana songs. Each one offers something a little different. However, heartache and longing are recurring themes. Being a big fan of sad songs and waltzes, I found it hard to pick favorites here, but after having the album in heavy rotation for a few days, I think I’ve nailed it down.

“Town Without Soul” –Fred Wickham Chooses a Killer Opener

I went into Town Without Soul completely blind. So, the album opener needed to grab me immediately. The Fred Wickham Caravan didn’t disappoint. Within the first few seconds of the song, a pedal steel guitar comes in hot and soaring. I’m a simple man. When I hear a good steel guitar, I’ll stick around.

Then, the lyrics came in and I knew I would be in good hands for the next half hour or so. The title track from Town Without Soul is something that many listeners will be able to relate to. In a way, it’s a story about revisiting your boring, soulless hometown and wishing you could steal that special someone away from there.

Even if you’re not hoping to sweep someone off their feet and take them out of that town, lyrics like “People pray but they never take a chance / Music plays but nobody dances / I lived here once, I couldn’t stay / Oh, in a town without soul,” will still grab you.

“Progress”

I’m going to be honest here, “Progress” is my favorite song on Town Without Soul. Fred Wickham and the boys ticked all the boxes for me on this one. It’s a slow waltz with plenty of steel guitar. However, the lyrics really got me. I can hear some heavy John Prine influence on this one.

It isn’t just the juxtaposition of darkness and heartache with tongue-in-cheek humor in the lyrics that calls back to Prine. Fred Wickham seems to be channeling the late great Kentucky-born legend in his vocals. This one will be on my playlists in the future.

“One for the Road”

The Fred Wickham Caravan says goodbye in style with the album closer. Americana and country music if full of songs about being gone, missing home, and traveling in general. However, “One for the Road” picks up before all the leaving, longing, and roaming.

To my ears, it’s a song about saying goodbye when you’d really rather stick around a while longer. “I packed up my bags / I’m ready to go. / Let’s have one for the road. / Give my regards to all of the boys. / Tell them I said hello.”

Final Thoughts on the Fred Wickham Caravan’s Record

If you’re a fan of soulful roots or Americana, give Fred Wickham and the boys a listen. Sonically, you’ll hear a little bit of everything from rock to country. Additionally, you can hear the influences of guys like Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and John Prine. Overall, their sound is a great marriage of all of the best parts of American roots music.

Bader vs. Moldavsky

0

LOS ANGELES – BELLATOR MMA Heavyweight World Champion Ryan Bader (28-7, 1 NC) returns to the division following his impressive run in the BELLATOR Light Heavyweight World Grand Prix and will now meet interim heavyweight kingpin Valentin Moldavsky (11-1) to headline BELLATOR MMA 273: Bader vs. Moldavsky. The long-awaited title unification bout takes place on Saturday, Jan. 29 at the Footprint Center, home of the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury.

In addition, former bantamweight world champion Darrion Caldwell (14-5) returns to action against the winner of Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 2, Enrique Barzola (16-5-2), who makes his BELLATOR debut.

Enrique Barzola

The main card will air live on SHOWTIME beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, while the preliminary card begins at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT and airs on the BELLATOR and SHOWTIME Sports YouTube channels, as well as Pluto TV.

Tickets for BELLATOR MMA 273: Bader vs. Moldavsky go on sale Thursday, Dec. 16 and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com and Bellator.com. A special presale will be taking place the day prior.

A former two-division champion, Ryan Bader has had nothing but high-profile bouts since signing with BELLATOR MMA in 2017, defeating Fedor Emelianenko, King Mo, Matt Mitrione, Linton Vassell, Lyoto Machida, Phil Davis and has gone toe-to-toe with Vadim Nemkov, Corey Anderson and Cheick Kongo. A winner in eight of his last 11 bouts, Arizona State University’s “Darth” Bader will once again have a partisan crowd in attendance when he meets Valentin Moldavksy at the Footprint Center in Phoenix. Making his return to the heavyweight division for the first time since 2019, Bader’s last title defense came against the aforementioned Kongo, a bout Bader was controlling until an accidental eye poke prematurely ended the contest.

The winner of the first-ever interim title in BELLATOR history, Valentin Moldavsky became Bader’s mandatory challenger following a dominant win over Tim Johnson at BELLATOR 261. Training under the tutelage of heavyweight legend Fedor Emelianenko, Moldavsky has begun carving out his own legacy, accruing a perfect 6-0 record within the confines of the BELLATOR cage. A multi-time European Sambo champion, Moldavsky has defeated top heavyweight contenders such as Johnson, Javy Ayala, Linton Vassell, and Roy Nelson on his climb to the top. Born in Ukraine, the 30-year-old looks to join teammate Vadim Nemkov and become the undisputed champion of the heavyweight division on January 29.

A Guide to America’s Most Important Hip-Hop Spots

0

A Guide to America’s Most Important Hip-Hop Spots

The sound and culture of hip-hop have permeated the United States since the 1970s, when the genre took off in the heart of the Boogie Down Bronx.

Its influences have since spread from coast to coast, north to south, and now music from a variety of artists is enjoyed worldwide.

Where It All Began

The Bronx is credited as the birthplace of hip-hop, with DJ Kool Herc named as the one to kick it off.

In 1973, he began to isolate percussion breaks when using a mixer with two records during parties he was DJing at. The sound caught the ear of many musicians and its popularity spread.

Grandmaster Flash and Kurtis Blow soon followed as influences in the community, with Kurtis being the man responsible for many hits by Run DMC, a group out of Queens that became popular in the 1980s.

Slick Rick also hails from the Boogie Down. He rose to prominence with Doug E. Fresh & the Get Fresh Crew in the mid-1980s. “The Show” and “La Di Da Di” are considered early hip hop classics. Rick was inducted into the borough’s walk of fame on the Grand Concourse in 2018.

The 1990s brought Fat Joe and the late Big Pun to the scene, throwing the Bronx into the hip-hop spotlight once again, and proving its staying power in the genre.

Down South

The 80s and 90s saw a rise in hip-hop in places like Atlanta, Georgia, thanks to the influence of neighboring Miam’s electro-driven bass music. MC Shy-D is credited with bringing the original Bronx style of hip-hop to Atlanta.

This combined hip-hop style is often referred to as Dirty South, which can be credited to the likes of Outkast and Goodie Mob.

Those looking to make a mark on the music scene through approaching record labels may want to check out houses for rent in Atlanta GA while in town – the city is home to LaFace Records, founded by L.A. Ried and Babyface and home to multi-platinum selling artists such as Toni Braxton, TLC, Ciara

There is also Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def Recordings, which represents the likes of Da Brat, Jagged Edge, and Dem Franchize Boyz.

The Lower East Coast

As noted, Miami’s hip-hop scene is associated strongly with Southern rap, though it did not explode in popularity until the early 1990s.

Acts like 2 Live Crew, Poison Clan, DJ Uncle Al, and DJ Laz began the movement in the Sunshine State, giving way to more recent recording artists Trick Daddy, Pitbull, and Flo Rida.

And Back Out To the West

There is a singular name that is most thought of when it comes to hip-hop: Tupac Shakur. The late rapper put Oakland, California, on the map, and his top hit “California Love” is an homage to the Sunshine State.

Though he died in 1996, Tupac’s effects are evident on the hip-hop scene today.

Another notable name to come out of Oakland is “U Can’t Touch This” hitmaker MC Hammer, as well as recently popular G-Eazy, who is known as the “James Dean of Rap.”

4 Players Who Deserve To Enter The NFL Hall Of Fame In 2022

In any pro football player’s career, certain accolades will always stand out as the pinnacles to determine their true legacy in the sport. One is to win a Super Bowl ring. If they can win more than one even better then. Another is to make it to the Pro-Bowl and be a consistent player always making the top of the all-defense or all-offense teams in however many seasons they play. And last but not least, but certainly the one that matters the most to fans and NFL stats experts, making it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Being able to wear the HOF gold jacket is a prize as important for pro football athletes as any of the others mentioned above, and most of the time, while winning a Super Bowl is a feeling that nobody can take away, being inducted into the most exclusive football club in the world, where all of the best to ever play the game is at, is something that can’t be beat.

Today, given that the Pro Football Hall of Fame presented its list for the 26 semi-finalists for a spot in next year’s Hall of Fame class, we bring you our picks of the four players we feel should get their nod and join the rest of football heroes in Canton, Ohio.

Steve Smith Sr., WR Carolina Panthers, and Baltimore Ravens

Steve Smith Sr.

I’ve always been a fan of those old-school wide receivers that were all about getting into their defenders faces, telling them which routes they were going to run, and just taunt them until they’re left wondering what had just happened to them. That, in a nutshell, was former Panthers and Ravens WR Steve Smith Sr. Smith was the literal interpretation of what a beat-down, locked down receiver was in the league, holding the eighth spot in the list for most receiving yards in the league history.

Now, while there are other receivers on the list and there are others such as Calvin “Megatron” Johnson who got his jacket last year, even with having fewer receiving yards all-time than Smith, there is no question in my mind that if there’s a man who deserves his gold jacket and his spot in Canton it’s Steve Smith Sr.

Patrick Willis, LB, San Francisco 49ers

Patrick Willis only needed 8 years, 8 seasons to make his presence felt all around the league and be considered one of the toughest and strongest linebackers to play the game. Having played his whole life for the San Francisco 49ers, Willis was a beast for the Niners’ defense. You don’t believe the hype around Willis? Well, let me remind you of a couple of stats that might make you see Patrick Willis with different eyes.

Willis was defensive rookie of the year in his first season, he was a five-time All-Pro team member and one-time Second-Pro team member, he went to seven pro bowls in his 8-year career, he’s part of the NFL’s decade team for 2010, and the list goes on. So, Patrick Willis, to the Hall of fame, ASAP!

DeMarcus Ware, OLB, Dallas Cowboys, and Denver Broncos

DeMarcus Ware, Players Who Deserve To Enter The NFL Hall Of Fame

From 2005 to 2016, if there was ever a player that quarterbacks and opposing offenses hated to face, it was former outside linebacker for the Cowboys and Broncos, DeMarcus Lawrence. His 138.5 career sacks and 654 tackles might give you a clue of why Ware was touted as one of the absolute best defenders to play in the league in the mid-2000s. Ware made it to nine Pro-Bowls, he was a four-time All-Pro team member, 3-time Second-Pro team member, led the league in sacks in two seasons, and he was one of the most important pieces in Denver’s win in Super Bowl 50 where he and Von Miller wreaked havoc on the Carolina Panthers. I think those accolades can do the trick to get someone into the hall of fame, right?

Devin Hester, WR/ST Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Seattle Seahawks

There is no punt or kick return specialist better in the history of the league than Devin Hester. There, I said it, I think we can all agree on it, so let’s just get this over with and get Hester his gold jacket. Ok, if that alone helped, believe me, there would be some more players being put on this list, but for now, let’s focus on Hester. I think there’s a lot to be said about a player whose opponents would create special tactics for stopping him, all while playing as a return specialist. But against Devin Hester, you never knew how to stop him.

If the Bears hadn’t run into such bad luck against the Colts in Super Bowl XLI, he would’ve been one of the players who truly could’ve bragged that he earned his title ring. But still, even without winning, just go back and watch his first play, which is also the first play in that Super Bowl. That kick return that ended up being a touchdown on the first ball of the game is still to this day one of the most exciting plays to ever happen in the NFL’s biggest game.

Gambling For Beginners – Top 5 Tips

After you’ve become aware and knowledgeable of the betting laws in your country and have picked a safe and legit online casino, these top 5 tips will help the start of your gambling adventure to be a smooth one. Although it can be tempting to just jump into it without knowing fully what you are doing, these tips will help you to not overspend (or lose too much) and will assist you to play responsibly.

Stick To Your Budget

Having a budget for any type of online gambling is an important aspect for ensuring you don’t lose more than you can afford. Of course, there may be players that aren’t worried about how much they are spending per wage or bet however, it’s not the same case for everyone. So, make yourself a budget for gambling that you can stick to because, with the speed of the games, even the smallest of bets can add up quickly. Once you have spent your daily budget on gaming, it’s best to walk away whether you are winning or losing, because it’s no secret that chasing losses will probably lead to even bigger ones that you can’t afford which is why it’s recommended not to do so.

Begin Playing Free Games Online

The best way for beginners to get the hang of how an online casino game works is to play a free demo version of it. This way, beginner players can get a better understanding of the game rules, mechanics, and how to set bets. By gaining this free practice, players can have the confidence to play the games for real with real money bets. It’s undeniable that this is a great practice for any new player joining the online game world – get ahead while you can!

Know Where You Stand

Understanding your position in the gaming world is vital for knowing how much to invest and when to walk away. For instance, when it is you against the house, there’s almost always a large gap between who has the upper hand, and in most cases, it is the house (the casino) that has more of the winning power. But don’t let this get you down because there is still a chance for you to earn some big winnings once you understand how the game works and what the house edge is. Then you can take this into consideration when working out your gambling strategy.

Study The Rules Of The Game

This might seem pretty obvious but we want to reiterate the importance of knowing the rules before playing any game whether that’s a board game or an online casino game. It’s never a good idea to show up at a casino table without knowing the terminology, bets, or rules of the game. That way, you’re just asking for failure. And so, it’s recommended to get a pretty good understanding of the game rules before sitting down at a table. There are plenty of guides online and you can even ask the dealer of the game to clarify anything for you.

Stay Ahead When You’re Ahead

We know that many players don’t like to hear this, but it’s a classic rule that can help you to stay ahead time and time again. And that is, when you’re ahead and winning, walk away. That’s right, walk away. We know it might seem opposing but it’s proven to be the best way to stay ahead because otherwise, you might find yourself losing more money in the end and/or chasing losses which is never a good gambling practice.

As A Conclusion

When you’ve done a good amount of research and know the best and most common tips for gambling beginners, there’s no reason you can’t become a proficient gambler in no time. The tips above are a great guide for getting starting and navigating your way through the gambling scene. Further, these tips will help you begin on the right foot with responsible gaming techniques!
