Orillia, ON’s deviant melodic math metallers LIKE ANIMALS announce they will be continuing their Eastern Canadian Tour of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec and Ontario after bassist Myke Caouette’s suffered injuries from a high speed collision that occurred a few weeks ago and caused his vehicule to burst into flames, forcing him to pull himself out of the wreck and out of harms way. Caouette’s injuries aren’t life threatening, but will need time to heal as he endured a fractured ankle, shattered kneecap, broken femur and sprained ribs.
“I’m happy to be alive, but sad not be on the road with my brothers in LA. I want to thank everyone for their well wishes and I’m glad to be out of hospital. Please support the band along with our touring mates (U) The Band. I will be back on the road for our Western Canadian tour in October.” says Caouette’s
Caouette’s will be replaced by bassist Rufus Cavan of (U) The Band who will be performing double duty for both bands on the Eastern Canadian tour.
The tour will kick off with a performance at the East Coast Awakening Festival in Keswick, NB on July 31st on the FNG Stage (set time – 12:40pm- 1:20pm), which includes a line-up of Silverstein, The Agonist, Cauldron, Sewn Eyes, Nervosa among many more bands from Eastern Canada.
LIKE ANIMALS‘ tour is in support of their new EP ‘Feral’ released at the beginning of January 2016 to follow their previous animal-themed EPs ‘Sweet Whispers, Plagued Ears’, ‘The Undertoad’ and ‘The Wild’.
