Being that the NBA season has come to a close, the drama filled part is just beginning. Expiring contracts, developing franchises, and players looking for a new team. Kevin Durant has been in the hot seat to see if he will leave Oklahoma City and explore his options. Where would Kevin Durant go? Will he leave Oklahoma?

A Move for Durant

During the NBA Playoffs, the Thunder sneaked their way to the Western Conference finals where they played the Warriors.  You could see the frustration of Kevin Durant every year as he awaits for his first ring. During the Thunder and Warrior series, you could see the lack of help KD has, the only people he could rely on offensively is Westbrook as well as Serge.

Once the series came to an end fans around the league were aware of his frustration, photoshopping different jerseys on him to see which one looks better on him.

Recently the superstar made a comment saying he would prefer to play for Golden State. Would that be a good choice for Durant? Although it would be a basketball choice whether he sees a future in Oklahoma City or Golden State.

The Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant duo has been a force to be reckoned with in the western conference, especially when healthy. Russel Westbrook is a triple-double machine, Ibaka, and Adams slow down players in the post, and Andre Roberson is a good defender.

If Durant he goes to the Warriors he would have the opportunity to play with Curry, Green, and Thompson. The Warriors have been to the championship in back to back years with a tw0-time MVP in Stephen Curry.

The Warriors ball movement is exceptionally good, making teams guard everybody on the floor. Almost every player on the Warriors is offensive threats. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have unlimited range, causing their defenders to play them as soon as they cross half court. Would Kevin Durant make the choice to stay in Oklahoma City or will he take his talents to the Bay?

One of Kevin Durant’s main talents is shooting the three-point ball due to his length. If he goes to Oakland a lot of the offensive pressure will get raised off of Stephen Curry because another long range threat is on the floor. The Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant combination gave Golden State a run for their money even at home in the playoffs.

If Durant stays in OKC he could raise his teammate offensive awareness by making them take smart shots. During the playoffs against Golden State, Roberson passed up an easy three-point shot to pass the ball to another player. When that happened, you could see the frustration of Durant in which he yelled at the young player.
