Previously on Slickster’s Titanfall 2…
We know more about our protagonist Jack Cooper and his trusty Titan “BT”. The contrast between Cooper’s sarcastic humor and BT’s literal interpretations of everything create a fun dialogue between the two characters that I’ve been enjoying so far! The Titan combat is 20-tonnes of fun, and the ground combat is amazingly fluid. Titanfall 2 has been proving to be a FPS quite different from the rest.
The best way to describe it for those who are skeptical of this game would be “Imagine if Mirror’s Edge, Vanquish, Hawken, and Call of Duty had a beautiful, beautiful love child.”
We left off in a broken down research facility that experienced some sort of time anomaly. We can switch between the facility’s past and present. It creates a multi-layered level of both varied areas with plenty of parkour fun to be had, as well as a time mechanic that is essential to navigating these sometimes treacherous areas. I don’t know about you, but this makes for a game level that I’ve not quite experienced anywhere else. And that makes for a very fresh gaming experience!
