Complete Lesson in Point A and B

Patience and contemplation are essential values. Clockstone Studio and Headup Games bring this in Bridge Constructor Ultimate Edition to Nintendo Switch. Clearly, the game is a different game experience for every player. Bridge Constructor Ultimate Edition’s idea is simple enough. Moreover, there are a series of fixed anchor points on the screen. In Bridge Constructor Ultimate Edition, construct a stable bridge to allow various modes of transportation to cross the gaps the game offers. Does Bridge Constructor Ultimate Edition offer the gameplay experience for every Switch owner?

A Bridge’s Tale

As an amateur bridge constructor, play 40 different levels and build bridges over valleys, canals, or rivers. Furthermore, apply stress tests to each construction, with cars, trucks, and trains, to make the sturdiest bridges and become an accomplished bridge builder.

The Blueprint

Players use the analog stick to navigate the construction menu. Additionally, move your cursor to points on the screen to start the construction of your bridge. Again, press the A Button to use materials to construct the bridge. Equally, a combination of the analog stick and A Button to direct the use of your materials. Use the B Button to delete structural pieces. Press the left cross pad to move through the materials like wood, metal, and wire.

Press the Y Button to manipulate materials and adjust them on-screen. Furthermore, players use materials like wood, steel beams, wires, and concrete to create stable bridge structures. Once the bridge is complete, test the structures and send buses, cars, and other modes of transportation to test each bridge’s stability.  Even more, in the portable mode, players can create constructions with the touch screen on the Nintendo Switch.

Structural Makeup

Bridge Constructor Ultimate Edition has a simple user interface. Press the A Button to interact with the screen. Enter a primary map menu that takes you to Camatuga Mode. Players create original bridges across a series of landscape setups. Play Slope Mania mode. Create, akin to rollercoaster ramps, bridges that allow steep, safe, transportation. Train mode means heavy-duty bridge safety.

Players create dense, structurally sound bridges to allow all manner of trains to cross bridges and overpasses easily. Winter World, Easter Islands, and Spooky Islands modes are seasonal bridge modes players can complete during December, The Easter holiday, and close to Halloween.

Going to Jump

Natsume’s Harvest Moon, Nintendo’s Animal Crossing, Focus Home Interactive’s Farming Simulator 20, and Bridge Constructor Ultimate Edition are all anti-stress simulation games. These games carry some creative challenges. It can be fun, in my opinion, in spurts. The ease and relaxation in these efforts are paramount. Some people look forward to these experiences.

Bridge Constructor Ultimate Edition needs a story mode.  Visuals and challenges in the game are solid. However, the bridge-focused aspect can get dull after long periods with this game. Bridge Constructor Ultimate Edition’s focus is on all construction. There is no deadline, a story about getting the bridge done for a specific event, or any activity of this kind. For example, an option for an animated construction of an overpass during the Westward expansion during the 19th Century or help at the start of the Golden Gate Bridge is not available.

Conclusion

I’m not too fond of the kind of inactivity in this game. Bridge Constructor Ultimate Edition is stable in the docked, tabletop, and portable modes. The game gets constant updates to it. Regardless, Bridge Constructor Ultimate Edition does not do it for me creatively. I feel wrong for commenting on it. This game needs a way to introduce this concept of construction that is more creative. Specifically, active tutorials go further. The nature of development in this game is closer to if someone dumps a tub of Legos, or Kinex, in front of you and asks you to make something. Construction is excellent for real freelance creators that want to explore design elements.

This is starter physics. Kids can test their projects repeatedly. Their want to come back and check them can vary with each child, and per player experience. Moreover, Bridge Constructor Ultimate Edition’s visuals, even seasonally, are the basis of this game. The reward is the satisfaction of a bridge’s completion. Bridge Constructor Ultimate Edition is the most influential bridge-specific game I have seen, but it needs to give the player more incentive to invest in it.
