According to a press release from Bellator the mixed martial arts promotion company will be giving undiscovered fighters just that chance.  Fighters will be pre-screened through a vetting process, including submitting a contact information form, highlight reel, and other factors.  Both men and women are encouraged to submit applications for try-out.

The Bellator press release states:

To apply for the open tryouts, athletes MUST register at www.Hawaii.Bellator.com – no walkups will be accepted… the tryouts are open to all weight classes.

MMA talent scouts will be at the tryout

In order to ensure legitimacy of the tryout, there will several executives from Bellator on-site to evaluate contestants.

The organization is sending current Bellator commentator Josh Thomson and Vice President of Talent Relations Rich Chou to evaluate local MMA talent on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. HST. The top athletes chosen will go on to compete in December inside the Bellator cage – and if victorious, will have a chance to earn an exclusive Bellator contract.
