Five Night's at Freddy's Sister Location

I want to get off Scott Cawthon’s wild ride. For those of you who live under a rock, or just haven’t been paying attention, Five Nights at Freddy’s is the latest horror game to grab the internet by the throat and strangle it for money. Taking the roll of a late night security guard players would watch security cameras and make sure that nasty animatronics don’t grab you and brutally murder you before stuffing you into a bear suit. Ya know, kids stuff.

Spawning four main series games with a plot line that is either pure genius or pure bullshit, an alright book, a horribly reviewed RPG spin-off, and AN UPCOMING MOVIE RELEASED BY WARNER BROS., Five Nights at Freddy’s has been immensely popular. Why? No clue to be honest. The gameplay isn’t that interesting, the visuals are fine but nothing spectacular, and the sound is good but not great. The thing that seemed to hook everyone was the “story” to it. There have been so many, many, many theories about how the story works that Game Theory, one of the most popular YouTube channels on gaming, has dedicated nine videos to Five Nights at Freddy’s. NINE VIDEOS FOR ONE SERIES.

Regardless, Scott Cawthon, the guy who made every game by himself has made some serious coin off the series and is pretty active in the community for FNAF. One thing that Scott is famous, or maybe infamous, for is how he never sticks to a schedule. Rather than release a game on Oct. 31st as he markets it, he’ll release it on July 25th. That’s what makes this image so unsettling.

Aside from that fugly looking… whatever it is staring into my soul, Scott has all but guaranteed a new game in the FNAF world. However, it will be a new series of sorts. Scott said that FNAF 4 was the last game in the original story arc. (Story arc is a loose term in my opinion) So this means that there is something else going on in the game world at this Sister Location. If that’s really going to be the name of the game, I expect the story and dialogue to be full ham and cheese like the bad 80’s horror movie it sounds like.

I’m sure that the message boards for the FNAF fandom has already made about 12,457,128 theories about what the new animatronic nightmare fuel in the picture means, but I suppose we’ll have to wait for the game to be released to find out. My guess is it releases May 13th. That way Scott can release on a super spooky Friday the 13th.
